FORMAL ATTIRE REQUIRED
We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us, so we’re making this a formal affair! Gentlemen are asked to wear a dress shirt and tie, sport coat, or suit, while ladies can opt for a formal cocktail dress or evening attire. No jeans, no sneakers—just your best-dressed selves ready to toast and tear up the dance floor. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Hotel guests can valet for $36/night or self-park in the Nationwide parking garage, located at 1100 Walnut St. The cost of this parking garage is $10/day.
Iowa State Fair
Enjoy the great Iowa State Fair! It usually runs for 10 days in the summer and is filled with live music, rides & plenty of food on a stick!

Swing by the Farmer's Market!
Peruse the Downtown Farmers' Market located at 300 Court Ave, Des Moines, IA 50309 (a short walk from the AC Marriott), open from 7:00 am - 12:00 pm. Lots of fresh flowers, produce, and Iowa wares. Plenty of food and drink options.

Explore the East Village
Take a quick morning stroll toward 505 East Grand Ave. and stop by Daisy Chain Coffee (delicious cappuccinos, fresh honey, and incredible ice cream sandwiches) and Raygun (a "must go!" venerated local shop that sells small gifts, tee shirts, postcards and more). Once you're there and along the way you'll find lots of fun shops and restaurants in the area locally known as the East Village.

Take a leisurely walk through the Sculpture Garden
Locals are very proud of this accessible and picturesque park filled with sculptures and art installations. It's a 4.4 acre park located at 1330 Grand Avenue which is within walking distance from the AC Marriott.

Itching for a jog? Head towards Gray's Lake
Once you arrive there is a 1.9 mile loop with a few trail off-shoots for the adventurous.
